So it’s my birthday. A day I usually make so much commotion about, that I exhaust people before it even begins. I love to tell people that when I was born even Mother Nature herself knew the world would never be the same again, so she changed the season from Summer to Fall. Since I was born on the Autumnal Equinox, I find this statement hilarious purely because it’s absolutely ludicrous. What’s even funnier are the people who think I’m serious. They stick their noses in the air and huff, “Oh she’s so full of herself. The season does not change just because of her.”
Right, like I’m actually trying to convince them. Oh darn, they’re too smart for my tricks. Guess I didn’t fool these geniuses.
Anyway, a year older but the question is…am I a year wiser? Let’s examine the evidence.
Wiser in regards to my health: Coke for breakfast and Kitkats and crackers for lunch.
ok, not too much wiser
Wiser in regards to my love life: Married man I love more than anything else.
However, he tricked me into thinking he liked to shop and he said he refuses to put me on a pedestal or let me be a trophy wife. He has compromised and said I could wear a tiara.
totally wiser, doesn’t being married automatically make you smarter?
Wiser in regards to my family: My sister has lived with us for 3 months and we both still have all of our limbs and our hair. My mother read my blog, got mad but then got over it.
yes, much wiser
Wiser in regards to my job: Left crappy job that used to be wonderful. New job let me change the 5000 white envelopes we send to our faculty to bright pink.
more decision making power, wiser
Wiser in regards to my spirituality: Became a Christian.
enough said
Wiser in regards to my money: My husband won’t let me spend all the money on shoes and pedicures. Now we get to pay our bills.
fine, wiser but sadder too.
Wiser in regards to my domestic skills: Learning to cook. If I have to suffer, he has to suffer. Making husband do all the dishes.
still hate cooking, but wiser AND no dishpan hands
Yes. After careful consideration, I am wiser. Can’t wait to see how amazingly wise I’ll be after this year.
