“Voilà ! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished, as the once vital voice of the verisimilitude now venerates what they once vilified. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose vis-à -vis an introduction, and so it is my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.”
That’s hot.
No really. I sat there at the Alamo Draft House and the more he talks the quicker I start breathing. And my eyes get bigger and bigger, and I lean forward in my seat, and my body starts tingling with anticipation. He keeps talking and more and more of those beautiful V words tumble from his mouth. I don’t know if it’s the actual words or the dead sexy voice he’s got, but either way….it’s hot.

I enjoyed the movie. I didn’t think it was amazing and I don’t know how closely it mirrored the book, but I’m no movie critic. All I know is I’m such a sucker for words, so I pretty much fell in love with V at that introductory monologue.Â
Â
Never mind the creepy mask, or the fact that he kills a bunch of people, or that he’s some weird burned mutant underneath the cape and fake hair. He’s got a way with words so all the other stuff fades away. I saw the movie on Friday and even on Monday I’m still getting a little excited by all those V words.

So you see, never mind who you kill or what you look like, brush up on your SAT vocab and you’ll score with all the chicks. He got Natalie Portman didn’t he.
It’s what we English teachers have been saying for years. Vocabulary…it’s hot.

Could the opening paragraph be any more confusing to anyone else in this lifetime? I seriously had to scroll down to see what exactly it was your were saying in the rest of your blog. But, yes, I know words turn you on…especially words that start with a “V”, and this happens to be YOUR personal webpage, so who am I to have disruptive behavior about a paragraph that turns you on, but makes me krinkle my nose in confusion. HA. That’s why I love you.
I must say…..I had to take an entire hour to catch up on your rantings. I’m very impressed with what you’ve made your blogs to be. And you say you aren’t a writer. I happen to disagree.
Many hugs that you refuse–

Summer time…..when the living’s easy
How could I resist all those pretty words. And you’re right, they all start with a V…is there anything more beautiful?
So glad you stopped by for a visit, but not glad enough to hug you.
